recently i've started a new composition. it's inspired by smetana's 'the moldau'. it's a part of my IB music coursework, so it's going to be a short one (~32 bars), but if i like the way it's going, it might be a bit longer. the main constituents of 'the moldau' that i'm trying to incorporate come from the Ab section in the middle which is pretty soft and uses some nice chordal voicings. mainly i'm focusing on woodwind texture and orchestration since this is my first time working with them. i'm also not too happy with how musescore sounds, so i may have to learn production to make it sound as expected. anyways, here's the first sketch (subject to lots of revision)
